Dear RSI Conferee,
The TEAM BUILDING System has been a tremendous success, as you know. One of the ways
you can measure your success with this system is by the number of tapes you and your
distributors send out each day to qualified personal prospects, as well as the number of tapes that
get listened to each day.
Sending personal hand-written notes with your tapes has been extremely effective. However,
there are only so many notes you can write in a day before getting writer's cramps and blisters.
(I've got callouses now!) The attached selection of letters may be helpful to those of you with
access to a computer with word processing. You can use these letters in their current form or
modify them to meet your own personality and needs.
Remember, the goal with any letter you write is to create curiosity and interest, and to not reveal
more information than you need. Also note that personalized letters works better than generic
greetings like "Dear Friend," or "Dear Colleague." A real, 'penned signature makes your
personalized letters important.
You can send these letters to your own personal prospects, or you can help your new distributors
get off to a fast start by sending personalized letters with tapes to their circle of influence
(Letters #1, #2, and #3); or to those with whom they have something in common (Letters #5, #6,
#7, #8, and #13).
You can even make the follow up calls on their behalf if they lack time, or they can make follow
up calls with your assistance. If you are going to make the follow up calls on their behalf, then
make sure the P.S. reflects your name (see P.S. in Letter #1).
It's going to be an unbelievable year. Now is the time to be more focused and disciplined than
ever before. Everyday that goes by is a day lost that can never he recovered. Be sure you are
using your time wisely.
I hope these letters prove helpful to you.
Sincerely,
Todd Smith
Letter 1: To Friend/Acquaintance
Today's Date, 1997
Dear Mike,
I hope all is well. A friend gave me this tape to listen to. It's by a business associate of his who is knocking down a
million dollars a year in a business he runs from his home. He started it with less than $1000 just five years ago. I
found it hard to believe until I listened to the entire tape.
The company that has made this business venture available to him and now to me, is an aggressive-growth company
expanding into our local area (if Mike is local, OR "your area" if Mike is long-distance). While doing my due
diligence, I've become impressed with what I've learned. They are very well managed, financially strong and their
stock has grown more than 500% since going public three and one half years ago.
(Optional paragraph.) The company's team of scientists has developed a unique line of products using space-age
technology. These products can help improve and prolong life, and reduce the risk of health problems that result in
over 70% of all U.S. deaths. When you listen to the tape you will see that this is a big deal
They have now developed a completely turnkey business that I'm very impressed with. It's a simple business that
people can start part-time at home with virtually no real investment or risk.
Anyway, I'm not sure if you've considered other career options, or ways to diversify to create additional sources of
income. If so, I thought this might interest you, too. As I considered people I would really enjoy working with, I
thought ,of you. In any case, I doubt if you've heard a guy talk like this!
Listen to it the next time you are in the car and let m know if you have an interest in reviewing some additional
information.
Sincerely,
John
P.S. We have an important conference call scheduled next Wednesday. If, after listening to this tape, you
have interest in learning more, you would definitely want to be on this call. If I don't hear from you by
Tuesday evening, (Optional phrase: "...either my colleague Bob Warren or...") I will give you a call
then.
Letter 2: To Friend/Acquaintance
Today's Date, 1997 Letter 2-To friend/acquaintance
Dear Sue,
I hope you are doing well (or other personalized opening sentences). As you know, I have enjoyed a
successful (real estate) career for the past e years. While the (real estate) business has been good to me,
it has been undergoing significant change as most (industries) have.
Over the last several months, I have done some serious soul-searching-thinking about my future and what
I really want to do with my life. I have come to the conclusion that I don't want to (sell real estate) the
rest of my life. I decided that if I'm going to do something else, that I want to have control and be in
business for myself.
Since I can't afford to just walk away from my (real estate) career until I replace my income, I
started researching businesses that would offer me the flexibility of starting part-time without
interfering with my (real estate) business.
After considerable time researching different businesses, I've finally decided on one that impresses me
very much. There's great potential with virtually no investment or risk. The name of the company is
Rexall Showcase International, a young company within the Rexall-Sundown Family of Companies.
They are currently experiencing rapid growth nationally and internationally. They are very well
managed, financially strong, and their stock has grown more than 500% since going public three and
one-half years ago,

sources of income. If so, I thought this might interest you, too. As I considered people I would really

Listen to the enclosed tape the next time you are in the car, and let me know if you have an interest in
reviewing some additional information.
Sincerely,
John Doe

Mr. Robert Delaney
Dear Bob,
I hope you and the family are doing well. Things are going very well on this end. The kids are growing like
weeds and we have really had some enjoyable times together. Hopefully we will have a chance to get together
soon. Please let me know how you guys are doing.
Since we haven't spoken recently I thought I would update you on what I'm doing. As you know, I have had
a very successful career with the (Rockefeller Life Insurance Company)-. Although my career has been going well,
I've simply become burned out, and decided to look at my options.

Mr. Thomas Slater
Dear Tom,
We haven't met yet so please let me introduce myself to you. I'm one of a team of individuals responsible for the
expansion of a young division of the 93-year-old Rexall company here in the
area. A mutual friend of ours, gave me your name as someone who might have an interest in this
project.
The company is currently experiencing rapid growth both nationally and internationally. They are very well
managed, financially strong, and their stock has grown more than 500% since going public three and one half years
ago.
Since we have not spoken, I don't know if you've considered other career options, or ways to diversify to create
additional sources of income. If so, let me encourage you to listen to the enclosed pre-interview audio tape. It
clearly outlines who we are, what we have to offer, and the type of individuals we are seeking.
The tape is from my colleague, Todd Smith, who started with the company five and one half years ago. He has
earned over one million dollars in each of the last three years. His message should answer any questions you have
and help you see the big picture.
This is a serious offer and one you may not encounter again. If what you've read interests you, please listen to the
tape the next time you are in the car and let me know if you have an interest in discussing the possibilities in further
detail.
Sincerely,
John Doe

interest in learning more, you would definitely want to be on this Gall. ff I don't hear from you by Tuesday evening

Letter 5: Common Career
Today's Date, 1997
Mr. George Edwards
Dear Mr. Edwards,
By way of introduction, I'm the owner/president of Hendricks Property Management Corporation, a mid-
size company that specializes in the development and management of assisted housing throughout North
Dakota and Montana with over 25 years experience in the industry. My business has been and is still very
successful. But a few years ago I started asking myself, "Do I want to do this the rest of my life, and if
not, what else could I do without jeopardizing my current career/lifestyle?"
This is the basis for the enclosed audio tape, If Not Now ... When?, and the business that found me. As a
fellow CPM@, I'm sure you are a person of integrity and professionalism. My colleague, (Todd Smith)
and I are looking for a few key associates who are at a stage in their lives /careers considering a possible
change-maybe concerned about their future, maybe longing for the freedom of being their own boss, OR
are interested in a bigger, more exciting, growing, and rewarding endeavor than they have right now.
Does this sound like you?
I feel you may value what we have to offer; a very simple, home-based business-a new expansion of a 93-
year-old trusted and respected company, Rexall rated by Forbes (Nov.'96) in the TOP 200 BEST Small
Companies in the USA. Because of the respect I have for you as a colleague, I've invested in putting this
informational audio into your hands.
I encourage you to listen to the entire tape (just pop it in your car on the way to work) to find out if you
have any interest in leaming more; then call me at 1-234-567-8910.
Sincerely yours,
Charles A. Hendricks, CPMO
P.S. The message on this tape is timely, addresses the societal and economic forces that will change our
lives in the coming century, and explains precisely why new methods of doing business are necessary and
are evolving. Your thinking about money, business, success, and your own future will be challenged by
this message!

Mr. James Robinson
Dear Jim,
Since we don't know each other, I'd like to introduce myself to you. I am a new member of the
Breakfast at Eight Club and am very excited to be part of a group of business people who are
dedicated to working together to further the success of the membership. I am looking forward to
getting to know more about your company so I can be a valued member of our group by
providing you with the referrals you are looking for.
Please send me information about (Robinson Interiors) and yourself, so I can be effective in
sending business to you. 1, too, am a fishing and boating enthusiast, so I already know we have
that in common!
Just a little background information on myself. Prior to joining Rexall, I spent 17 years owning,
managing, and building a national consulting organization. We provided executive -search and
management counseling services, on a fully retained basis, to the "big six" public accounting
firms with our primary clients being Price Waterhouse, and Coopers & Lybrand. We maintained
offices or affiliates in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Kansas City. Even though I was
successful, it became apparent to me that I needed to take greater control of my life. The
challenges I was facing with increased health care cost, changing investments strategies of my
clients, and less time with my family led me to the business I am in today.
I am enclosing an audio overview of my current business which I think you will find fascinating.
The gentleman you will hear on this tape is my colleague, (Todd Smith). You will find his
approach is very direct, straight forward, and no-nonsense. The reason I am giving you this is
because we are looking for a few key individuals to help us with our expansion into the midwest.
The right persons will have high integrity with a proven track record of success.
If you could pop this into your tape player the next time you are in your car, and if a few people
come to your mind who have these qualities and are self-starters, make a mental note of them. I
will call you for a private conversation next Thursday afternoon or Friday morning when I return
to Kansas City.
Sincerely yours,
David Thompson
Letter 7: Common Classmates
Today's Date, 1997
Ms. Karen Pardue
Dear Karen,
We graduated from S.I. together, but can you believe we are coming up on our 30th Anniversary? My,
how time flies with careers and families! I hope this note finds you healthy and prosperous.
To catch up a little, after graduating I started a full-time career with the Corporation. After 18 years, I
had accomplished my goals and was, what most would consider, successful. Then, suddenly, the rules
were changed. The company went through some restructuring, what my boss called "right-sizing." In
other words, I was asked to do something I didn't want to do-for less money-or leave quietly.
After this experience I vowed to never pour my heart and soul into helping another company that could
then dispose of me like yesterday's garbage.
Since our cash reserves were small, I started looking at businesses that I could start with little or no
investment or risk, that could provide an immediate income. Then through an acquaintance of mine, I
Was introduced to a unique business venture. The company that has made this business venture
available to him, and now to me, is a young division of the Rexall company, an aggressive-growth
organization expanding into our local area ( ... if Karen is local, OR "your area" is Karen is long-
distance).
While doing my due diligence, I've become impressed with what I've learned. This company, Rexall
Showcase International, is well managed, financially strong, and its stock has grown more than 500%
since going public three and one-half years ago. They have now developed a completely turnkey
business that could be started part-time at home with virtually no real investment or risk.
After helping several other classmates free themselves of the ball and chains of corporate America, I felt
compelled to share this information with you as well.
Anyway, since we haven't talked, I don't know ff you've considered other career options, or ways to
diversify to create additional sources of income. If so, I thought this might interest you, too.
Listen to the enclosed tape the next time you are in the car, and let me know if you have an interest in
reviewing some additional information.
Best personal regards,
Jane Johnson
P.S. We have an important conference call scheduled next Wednesday. If, after listening to this tape,
you have an interest in learning more, you would definitely want to be on this call. If I don't hear from
you by Tuesday evening I will give you a call then.
Today's Date, 1997
Mr. Donavan Rasmussen
Dear Donavan,
Allow me to briefly introduce myself. I'm a fellow member of the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce and have lived in
the Parker area the past year and one-half. I've been a high school teacher, a CPA for Arthur Andersen & Company, and for ten
years I was president and CEO of a $140 million wholesale aircraft parts distributor.
Like you, I'm acutely aware of the power and importance of personal referrals, and word-of-mouth advertising. I would like to help
you by recommending your business to the people with whom I network. If you could send me some information about what you
do, I will make it a point to disseminate ft when the opportunities arise.
I'm presently helping head-up the expansion in this area of a major international publicly-held healthcare company, and I'm looking
for a couple of absolutely top-quality people to help us accomplish our objectives. I've enclosed an audio tape which I've found is a
convenient way to communicate information about my company and its products. Please pop this into your tape player as you go
on your way.
I would appreciate a call after you've reviewed the audio with any ideas you may have about individuals you know who could help
me. If I don't hear from you by Tuesday evening, I'll give you a call then.
Best regards,
AI Johnson

Ross Hauser, MD
Dear Dr. Hauser,
By way of introduction, I am a (type of physicians and have been practicing medicine here in Encinitas for the past-
years.
Since we haven't met, I don't know your views on preventive and alternative healthcare. Assuming you are an
advocate of, or contemplating the possibility of preventive medicine, I would like to share with you some valuable
information about a line of natural products manufactured by Rexall. Our patients who are using these products are
having remarkable results, and they are grateful for healthcare solutions without side-effects.
Through these unique nutritionally-based products we are seeing patients experience as much as 100point drops in
their cholesterol in 30 to 60 days, and --point drops in their triglycerides. We are seeing a stabilization of blood sugar
levels with our diabetic patients-some of whom are able to significantly reduce their use of insulin. We are also
seeing a reversal of cardiovascular obstructions with some of our heart patients.
Our patients with high blood pressure, poor blood circulation, and obesity are seeing impressive results. We are also
seeing great results with patients who have suffered with allergies, colitis, spastic colon, chronic constipation,
diverticulitis, diverticulosis, and other maladies I have not listed here.
If learning about these products is of interest to you, please listen to the enclosed audio tape of other medical
professionals who share their views on these breakthrough formulations. I've also enclosed a brief overview of some
recent trials conducted on the Bios LIFE 2 product.
If, after your review of this information, you have an interest in offering these natural preventive products, or even as
adjuncts to your patients' current therapy, I would be pleased to discuss this to your satisfaction. What a pleasure it
would be to have you join our team of hundreds of other gratified physicians who are enjoying successful, results with

Today's Date, 1997
Mr. Dave Jones
Dear Dave,
I hope things are going well for you. Personally, I can't wait for winter to get over. How about you?
I just wanted to take a moment to update you and let you know how things are going with Rexall
Showcase. You're undoubtedly someone I would really enjoy working with, so I wanted to stay in touch
and update you on my progress.
I just returned from Rexall Showcase Intemational's conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The company is
seeing record growth. In fact, we grew over 25% in January over December. How many companies do
you know that experience this kind of growth in one month? RSI just introduced several new products, a
new, exciting stock option plan, and some great sales tools. It is truly exciting to be part of this great
opportunity with such a respected company.
As far as my own personal business with Rexall Showcase, it's going great. I have (list accomplishments)
I couldn’t be more thrilled with what’s been taking place,
If you ever have an interest in taking a closer look at what I'm doing, I'd enjoy the opportunity of getting
together with you.
I wish you the best, and continued success.
Sincerely,
Grant Chapman
P.S. New tape! Let me know what you think of this one.

Letter 13: Common Career
Today's Date, 1997
Mr. Daniel J. Kenna
Crown Mortgage Company
Dear Mr. Kenna,
Just two years ago I was a successful top-producing loan officer for a large mortgage company in California. My
life was busy with pre-quals, loan apps, real estate agents, interest rates, loan processors, underwriters, loan docs,
loan closings, and being paged seven days a week.
I was able to make a good living, but I found the personal cost to me and my family was substantial. The only way
I could ever relax and enjoy quality time with my family was to leave town. But when I returned from my much
needed vacation, I would find myself in the middle of "loan catastrophes' that only a loan officer can relate to. Of
course, as the loan officer it was my job to resolve the problem and put out the fire. All of this made me wonder if
my time away was really worth it.
I recall one day noticing that as my pager went off, my stomach went into knots. From that day on I was conscious
of this horrible feeling in my gut every time the pager went off. It was then I realized I had to find a better way.
Can you relate to the following? As a loan officer...
In my search for a better way, I came to the realization that I had to make a change. I knew that if I wanted my life
to be different, I would have to do something different. Albert Einstein concluded that the definition of insanity was
when someone does the same things over and over again but expects different results!
For the past year I have developed a simple but lucrative home-based business with the financial support of a 93-year-
old publicly-traded company. While my business began as a way to diversify, it has quickly evolved into my full-time
career.
Today, I spend my time doing business with the people I want to do business with, and based upon my own tirne-
frame. I no longer wear a pager, I have no catastrophes to resolve as I work in the relaxed stress-free environment of
my home, and I couldn't tell you today's interest rate.
Are you looking for a better way? Are you ready for a change? If so, I encourage you to listen to the enclosed pre-
interview audio today. Currently I am looking to identify several key individuals whom I can help develop their own
turnkey businesses.
If you are like me, you are probably very skeptical-especially when receiving a packet like this one in the mail from
someone you don't know. I believe you (we) should be skeptical but also have an open mind. After all, what do you
have to lose? I encourage you to do your own, due diligence because I'm confident the more you find out, the more
you will be impressed.
Upon your review of this information, if you would like to be considered for our mentoring program please call me at
my office, 876-543-2111, or 1-800-757-5942 for my voice mail.
I wish you continued success!
Sincerely,
Bob Warren
P.S. The gentleman you will hear on this cassette tape, Todd Smith, has personally mentored me for the past 12
months. Todd has earned over one million dollars in each of the past three years with this home-based business.
